Posturology and Rehabilitation

Postural Re-education and Recovery of Functional Gesture Paths.

Posturology and postural education

Posturology is a branch of medicine that deals with the study of posture or

the position of the body in space and the spatial relationship between the skeletal segments, the purpose of which is the maintenance of balance, both in static and dynamic conditions, which contribute to neurophysiological, biomechanical, psychoemotional and relational factors, also linked to the evolution of the species .

Posturology aims to research the underlying cause of the patient's discomfort. It, unlike other medical approaches, does not focus on the symptom, but digs deeper. In fact, very different causes can hide behind the symptom: a physical or psychological trauma, the legacy of an injury, an organic dysfunction, a flawed daily habit.

Recovery of the functional gesture

Functional Gesture Re-education is a therapeutic and rehabilitative approach used to help people recover or improve their motor skills after an injury. This type of re-education focuses on re-learning the movements necessary to perform daily activities effectively and safely.

The objective of Functional Gesture Re-education is to maximize independence and improve the quality of life of patients, through the optimization of their motor skills. This approach works through specific exercises, joint mobilization techniques, walking training, all techniques aimed at improving the person's strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.

In summary, functional gesture re-education aims to allow people to return to their daily activities and their social, working or sporting life with the highest possible degree of autonomy and safety.
